Ha! You’ll never guess whose picture shows up under Google search of “pathological lying”

How many times have you heard this old put-down: Look up _______ in the dictionary and you’ll see _______’s face right next to it. Well, modernize this using Google and guess whose face shows up when you search “pathological lying?” Hint: it’s someone who is running for president and isn’t a man. That should narrow it down quite a bit!

Someone, somewhere typed in that phrase on Sunday night and up popped an image of Hillary Clinton next to the definition of a pathological liar and a screenshot of the Hill-arity was spread across the web:

In a related search oddity, Googling “45th us president” resulted in a picture of Donald Trump:

Google quickly removed these tampered search results on Monday but not before everybody had a good laugh. It also reminded me that Google had several other instances of manipulation during this election season. Back in July, a search for “presidential candidates” yielded only three results and it didn’t include Donald Trump, only Clinton, Bernie Sanders and the barely-known Jill Stein of the Green Party. That’s pretty egregious that the Republican candidate was left out of such a specific search. Can you really call that a glitch?

In August, it was discovered that Google search results were manipulated to the point where Clinton’s health issues were scrubbed from the auto-complete suggestions. If you typed “hillary clinton he-,” Google only suggested “hillary clinton’s headquarters” or “health plan,” etc. With other search engines, Yahoo! and Bing listed top suggestions as “hillary clinton’s health” and “health problems” — real concerns voters care about. Google still hasn’t added Clinton’s health problems to its search suggestions.

Meanwhile, Clinton is basically laughing at Trump’s concerns that the election is rigged. She’ll say and do anything to get elected, and it’s obvious Google and others are helping her to that end. Why fight against a system that is rigged in your favor? Nothing to see here, move along. Right, Hillary?
