A Daily Beast writer had what The Federalist described as “one of the cattiest responses ever to a pregnancy announcement.”
“At this rate,” she tweeted, “it would be less work for Bristol Palin to announce when she is not pregnant.”
When Melissa Langsam Braunstein pointed this tweet out, I honestly didn’t care. Comments from some random person on the internet are meaningless to me, because I’ve got some tough skin.
However, I did get the biggest laugh at the responses:
.@Olivianuzzi Media fecundophobia is a fascinating thing to observe. https://t.co/aABjkZriOW

@MZHemingway @Olivianuzzi It’s partly class & political. Chelsea Clinton doesn’t get that reaction for 2 kids in 2 years.

@Olivianuzzi People who have babies are like super icky and weird, amirite? https://t.co/MnUi2pQ50T

@Olivianuzzi Why the shade on Bristol Palin? I had three kids within 5 years and am not sure how to take your comment.

@Olivianuzzi that awkward moment when it’s clear a Lib only supports right to choose when it’s choosing the abortion…

Most sane adults know a rate of 3 children over an 8 year span does not warrant mindless snark from graceless, bitter shrews. @Olivianuzzi

@Olivianuzzi Shaming a woman for their “choice”. Having kids=not OK, abortion=hero. Got it. You feminists have a funny logic
