I never had a teacher this hip when I was in school.

Meet Barry White Jr, a fifth-grade teacher from Charlotte, North Carolina who has come up with personalized, and really complicated, handshakes for each of his students before they come into his class.

All the kids line up in the hallway outside of the classroom and one by one they greet Mr. White before heading through the door:

“They know when they get to the front door we do our ‘good mornings,’ and then it’s time to go. I’m always pumped up and then we start doing the moves and that brings them excitement and pumps them up for a high-energy class.”

White said it started with just a few students but everyone wanted one so he came up with handshakes matched to each student.

When asked how he’s able to remember them all he said, “It’s muscle memory at this point. I do it so much with them.”

Check it out:

How cool is that? I know Tripp would love a teacher who did something like this. I’d probably forget mine, though! LOL!

This isn’t the only teacher that has created unique handshakes with their students. Click CONTINUE to see another teacher doing the same thing:
