During the 2016 election, hate crimes spiked. It seemed anyone wearing a Make America Great Again hat was on the prowl looking to beat up people of color, Muslims — ANYONE who wasn’t conservative and white.

But that’s all a lie. Just like fake news, these were fake hate crimes. They didn’t happen. In fact, it was the people wearing MAGA hats that were attacked more often than not. But the media had to sell the narrative that Trump and his supporters were bad people. Turns out, we’re not so bad after all.
