1. Female Muslim student attacked and robbed by white Trump supporters
A Muslim student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette claimed to have been robbed by two white men, one of which wore a “white Trump hat.” She said the men beat her up, ripped off her hijab, and ran away with her wallet. To spice up the story, the “victim” said they were shouting racial slurs and repeated Trump talking points about Muslims. The media had a field day with this horrifying story — until they had to retract it.
The Lafayette Police Department said the girl came clean and “admitted that she fabricated the story about her physical attack as well as the removal of her hijab and wallet by two white males.”
“This incident is no longer under investigation,” the police said in a statement.
