3. Gay man attacked on election night in Santa Monica
Chris Ball, a gay Canadian filmmaker, claimed to have been beaten up by Trump supporters on the night of the election in Santa Monica. Again, this was perfect fodder for the anti-Trump media. Except, it didn’t happen at all. Police released a Facebook message explaining a check of all area hospitals turned up no victims, nor had such a crime been reported to authorities.
