NBA Star’s baby Hits 6 Pounds after being born 5 months early at just 1 pound

Awwww…  This is sweet!  According to the Daily Mail, J.R. Smith’s little one reached a very important milestone!

Cleveland Cavaliers player J.R. Smith’s baby daughter is getting stronger by the day.

Smith’s daughter Dakota weighed just one pound when she was born five months premature in January.

But on Thursday, the little girl crossed a major milestone and now weighs more than six pounds.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star celebrated the good news in a post on his Instagram. ‘Our baby has made it to 6lbs today!!!’ Smith wrote.

Smith and the Cavs are battling their way back to the NBA Finals. The team leads the Toronto Raptors 2-0 in a six game series. The winner of the series will go on to the semifinals of the tournament.

I love her name too — Dakota!
