If you’ve been online at all, you’ve seen the very public breakup of Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, which seems to get worse and worse. The most recent problem happened after Chyna sent Rob nude pictures of herself, and a video of her in bed with another man. Rob posted the pictures, and some of the video to Instagram, and he might be in legal trouble now.
The L.A. Times explains the legal problems with this:
Kardashian, 30, posted the images as he accused her of cheating on him.
The posts could be legally problematic because in 2013 California lawmakers passed a law penalizing what is known as “non-consensual pornography.”
A violation of the law is a misdemeanor resulting in up to six months in jail.
Here’s the thing. Sure, it’s not cool that Rob posted that video or the pictures of his ex BY ANY MEANS – but why on earth would Blac Chyna send a video of her in bed with another man to her ex?? And then act surprised that he didn’t act with as much discretion as she would’ve preferred?
And now, this is a women’s right issue? I guess I don’t understand….. if roles were reversed would it be a “male-ism” issue? Would it be considered “slut shamming” then? Two wrongs don’t make a right, but this situation doesn’t seem like a woman’s right issue to me.
I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of women being the victim in so many situations. There’s a label for everything now. This “label” is now “slut shaming” and “revenge porn.” Well, what about HER responsibility in this? Why can’t we label her actions toward him as — at the very least — vindictive and mean?
Maybe — and I’m going out on a limb here — maybe it wasn’t the best practice to send the father of her child a video of her in bed with another man.
Does feminism exist to completely take away every ounce of common sense in every situation?
Gosh, I don’t know about you, but it honestly drives me nuts.
