Cop Dresses Up Like Kaepernick for Halloween, Gets Scolded By His Boss

Good grief!

Remember all those liberals who thought it was perfectly fine for Colin Kaepernick to kneel during the National Anthem, even though he was mounting a political protest on his employer’s dime?  Here’s exactly how consistent they are.  When Officer Antonio Gutierrez wanted to dress up for Halloween, he knew exactly what he wanted to be. So, he got a fake nose, a wig, and a sign that read, “Will stand for food” and went as the controversial football player.

Of course, people on social media freaked out over his “racist” costume.

 Independence Journal Review has the story of what happened next:

University of Nevada, Reno Police Chief Adam Garcia scolded Gutierrez for mocking Kaepernick in a statement.

“For those who have seen the Halloween costume of one of our officers apparently mocking a citizen who has chosen to take advantage of his constitutional right to protest, I offer my sincere apologies,” Garcia said, according to BuzzFeed.

“Members of our profession are held to a higher standard and denigrating another — on or off duty — is insensitive for its lack of respect and lack understanding on how others may negatively view their actions and may be impacted,” he continued.

Okay, so Kaepernick has the right to protest our nation on his employer’s dime, but Gutierrez can’t make fun of his for it?  Seriously, if the Left didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.
