Trespassing is never okay, whether the property belongs to a celebrity or not, but what were these three people thinking climbing over a security wall of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore’s home? One thing’s for sure; they got a little more than a peek at where she lives as the startled 45-year-old emerged with her handgun. (And rightfully so!)
The incident happened on the last weekend of December. Moore received an unexpected knock on her door and that’s when she saw two men and one woman who weren’t invited and realized they were trespassing. She retrieved her pistol and chased them away.
Moore posted pictures of the criminals on Instagram and has offered a reward to anyone who has information so they can be arrested.
“They told someone!” Moore said, and added that she will be prosecuting if they’re found:
It is not funny. Men showing up at your door is an immediate threat. Things could have ended badly and all 3 will be criminally prosecuted…
I have a right to feel safe in my home and to protect myself. I don’t care if I’m on TV. What if 3 strangers banged on your front door …2 of them being grown men wearing dark clothing knowing they could only get to you by jumping fences or trespassing onto other properties and mine? There are home invasions, robberies, rapist…What if your children or loved ones were threatened this way? Anyone who is bold enough to commit a crime, endanger themselves and others needs to be punished.
Besides posting screenshots of what her security cameras caught, Moore did a personal video, with plenty of colorful language, to let any future trespassers know what they’re in for if they ever come knocking again:
“They got what they came for I stay sitting on ready. if any crazy motherf***ers want to F with me u deserve what’s behind these doors. #myhammersstayready #criminaltrespass #theytriedit.”
Don’t you just love it when someone exercises their Second Amendment rights?
