1: Can I Go Back in My Coma Now?

Soon after my awakening, as I was adjusting to full consciousness in a Catholic nursing home called All Saints (No Saints wasn’t available, apparently), I was subjected to a priest who took one look at me and said, “God is good.”

This was the first time someone called my recovery a miracle. It would not be the last. It took every fiber in my being not to roll my eyes, which were about the only body parts that could move normally.

Thus began my adventures with nursing home and hospital clergy. But what my secular loved ones had to endure during my coma was far worse.
