11. “Let’s watch Sportscenter!” (or whatever he’s into)

This one isn’t necessarily about who holds the remote control or what you watch on TV; it’s broader. It’s about taking an interest in the things that interest him. When you divide everything up into “His” and “Hers” you miss out on opportunities to connect and grow in your friendship with each other. When you take an interest in his hobbies and interests, it provides another way to connect and he wants to connect with you! It will also (hopefully) make him even more interested in YOUR hobbies and interests.
