Recharge your body
Your body is the only one you’re ever going to have on this side of heaven, so you need to take care of it. Taking care of your body is actually an act of worship to the one who made your body. This doesn’t mean we need to obsess about our appearance or weight. It certainly doesn’t mean we have to have six-pack abs (I love ice cream way too much for that), but it does mean we should be intentional about making some new habits that will create longterm health. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Go on a walk while you’re talking on your phone so you’re not just sitting down and talking. Make some little changes in your diet and your routine. Over time, those little changes can make a big difference and help you be at your best.
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
