Sheriff Clarke: I’m tired of Obama’s race obsession, January 20th can’t come soon enough January 3, 2017

For the last eight years, America has had to put up with one of the most race-obsessed presidents in modern history and I, for one, am tired of this nonsense. January 20th can’t come soon enough.

The way Obama has treated white people, especially, throughout his presidency is shameful. He has continually rubbed their noses in the stain of slavery — something that ended 150 years ago and they had no part in. I’m not suggesting that such a blight on American history is something to be forgotten, but at some point, you have to move on, and Obama has never allowed America to do that. Instead, he’s ripped open the healing scar of slavery and poured salt on the wound. And you can bet that with just weeks to go before he leaves the White House, he will continue kicking the sand in the faces of those same white voters who offered him two terms on a silver platter.

But with Donald Trump, America — blacks, whites, Latinos, and other ethnicities — joined voices on November 8th to say they’ve had enough of the racial divide in America and are ready to move on from one of the ugliest chapters in American history; a chapter authored by a supposedly post-racial president, but he was exactly the opposite.

This president oversaw the rise of the Black LIES Movement but had no sense of urgency to do anything about the black-on-black murders that has crippled his adopted hometown of Chicago. Over the course of his presidency, there have been 3,904 murders in the city and the entire time, Obama was on full radio silence, and Black Lives Matter is nowhere to be found.

Nor did the president have the fortitude to speak against the rise in attacks against law enforcement officers. Instead, he only spoke out when the anomaly happened; when an officer shooting was questionable or even wrongly shot an unarmed suspect. Suddenly, Obama was on television calling everyone racist.

The sooner we can move on from this ugly chapter, the better. But he’s not going to go without a fight, and you can plan on more of the same throughout his last remaining days.
