Ordination update: 8 new deacons for Orlando

From the diocesan website:

On June 9, Bishop Noonan ordained eight devoted men to the Order of Deacon at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe.

Deacon Louis Bartos, Jr., Sacred Heart Parish, New Smyrna
Deacon Thomas Cuff, St. Margaret Mary Parish, Winter Park
Deacon Mark Fry, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Winter Park
Deacon Hector Isaza Zapata, Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Deltona
Deacon Anthony Medina Cruz, St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Altamonte
Deacon Wilmar Rojas Clavijo, St. Joseph/St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, Orlando
Deacon Edward Struttmann, Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Indialantic
Deacon Wilfrid Tilus, St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Kissimmee

These men and their families have journeyed together for many years and entered into a deeper relationship with God to ultimately respond Yes! to the call to Ordination as a Permanent Deacon of the Catholic Church.

“For many years your parishes have prayed for you and now you are about to be ordained deacons. Today we will pray that God will bless you in your ministry of service to God and his people,” said Bishop Noonan. “May we always model ourselves after Jesus the Good Shepherd Who came not to be served, but to serve.”

Ad multos annos! Congratulations and welcome, brothers!
