Bryan Fischer says they cannot coexist:

We cannot have the homosexual agenda and liberty; those two things are incompatible with each other. They cannot coexist. One is going to have to give. Either the homosexual agenda is going to have to retreat or religious liberty is going to have to retreat. Every advance of the homosexual agenda comes at the expense of religious liberty.

Late last month, U.S. Ambassador Richard Hoagland hosted a meeting at the Pakistani embassy in support of gay rights. As you can imagine, that didn’t go over very well in a country where gay people are put to death:

A group of conservative Islamic political and religious officials has condemned a meeting by the U.S. Embassy supporting gay rights in Pakistan as “cultural terrorism” against the country.

The group, which included the head of Pakistan’s largest Islamic party, Jamaat-e-Islami, claimed the meeting — the first of its kind held by the embassy — was the second most dangerous attack by the U.S. against Pakistan, following missiles fired from unmanned drones.

Here’s a hilarious conversation on the Bryan Fischer radio show with Calvin Beisner from some group called the Cornwall Alliance where they claim that those who want to make the environment cleaner and healthier for human life want to wipe out 95% of human life. Because, obviously, the point of preventing companies from dumping cancer-causing chemicals into our water supply or from spewing dangerous toxins into the air is to destroy life. It makes perfect sense, right?

From uber-moron Bryan Fischer, yet again:

Freedom is in the DNA of Christianity, but tyranny is in the DNA of Islam.

Yes, just think of that long list of officially Christian countries that maintained individual liberty. There’s, uh….oh yeah, there isn’t a single such example. There are, however, centuries worth of examples of such nations destroying liberty under the Divine Right of Kings. You might remember that we exist because we overthrew one.

I’ve been on the lookout for some of the crazier wingnut reactions to the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Here’s CBN’s David Brody, who is upset that Obama didn’t gloat enough over it:

His speech made no mention of any sort of proud accomplishment and it certainly made no mention of how exciting this moment was for our country. I know President Obama understands that getting Bin Laden doesn’t mean an end to the war on terrorism but how about a smile? How about showing a little joy? How about a word or two saying something about how this is no doubt a happy or joyous occasion for Americans?

We got nothing like that at all. Instead, we got Mr. Monotone. Mr. Bars and Tone. Mr. Non-Emotion. President Obama missed an opportunity to connect with Americans last night.

So why did he announce the big news like he was reading the dictionary? You know the answer. It’s because his speech wasn’t so much aimed at Americans. He was being careful of how the “Arab Street” would interpret his remarks. Any hint of gloating or happiness might be rubbing it in the face of some of the crazies in the Arab World and heaven forbid we get them upset! How dare we Americans look like we’re celebrating his death! The travesty of it all!

Give me a break. Isn’t it time to stop catering to thugs?

From crazy bigot Bryan Fischer:

We’re going to get the worst of both worlds with the admission of open homosexuals into the ranks: virile straights aren’t going to sign up, and fewer homosexuals will since they lost their get-out-of-jail free card when DADT was repealed. They can’t try it and decide they don’t like it any more. We’re going to be left with a weakened, effeminate, dumbed-down military.

Did you know that when you criticize Sarah Palin, you’re being controlled by Satan himself? If not, you haven’t been listening to the AFA’s Bryan Fischer, who writes:

The hatred directed at her is mindless, it is baseless, it is utterly irrational, and it is disturbing to an alarming degree. When we look into the face of the unvarnished and seething meanness focused on Ms. Palin, we are looking into the face of evil. We are looking into the face of Satan himself, who is the ultimate source of this vitriol and toxic hate.

Presumptive 2012 presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty, former governor of Minnesota, said this week that he would support reinstating the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy if he is elected. Not a shock. Worse, however, is where he said this — on Bryan Fischer’s radio program.

It speaks volumes about just how insane the GOP has become that serious presidential candidates are willing to go on the radio show of a batshit crazy authoritarian nut like Fischer. This is a guy who advocates forced therapy for gays and claims that gays are responsible for Hitler’s Third Reich. And not only is he not treated with derision in conservative circles, he’s in the mainstream.

From the AFA’s Bryan Fischer, bringing the crazy yet again:

I’ve never called gay people terrorists although I’ve said that what they have done is like domestic terrorism. You’ve got these Mujaheddin on the battlefield setting out these syringes with the HIV virus in it as a way to carry out terrorism.

This is exactly what happens when two males have sex with one another. If one of them is HIV Positive, then it’s just like injecting his partner with a needle with HIV.

That’s domestic terrorism. I don’t know what else you’d call it.

Unreal.

David Corn reports that Christine O’Donnell has a lesbian sister who actually supports her campaign despite her extreme anti-gay views. The day after the primary, that sister posted this message to her Facebook account:

to all my friends and family..thank you for your great wishes.. for the wisdom to see through the insane lies that were being tossed around, and still will be, i supose. i’m sure they will make up new ones; but thank you for your love, support prayers, good humor… and support of my sister,no matter what lies were made up about her…oh.. p.s. haave you heard the latest? she’s homophobic… gotta laugh
