Glenn Beck, after making so many “heartfelt” apologies for how he had poisoned our political discourse but now the Lord has finally set him upon the right path, is back to his old Six Degrees of George Soros nonsense. He says the Women’s Marches were all an astroturf effort by the convenient liberal boogeyman.
Glenn Beck, fresh from allegedly turning over a new leaf, is still up to his old tricks. On his show last week he talked about a fabricated claim of an anti-Muslim hate crime and how horrible that was. So naturally he spread fake stories to illustrate the danger of fake stories.
In 2012, Glenn Beck predicted that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide over President Obama (this after declaring Romney to be the — wait for it — “next George Washington”). On his radio show this week, he tried to rewrite history to explain why he — sorry, “everyone” — got it so wrong.
Glenn Beck went on one of his normal goofy diatribes connecting entirely different things with some vague conspiracy. This time he said that Bill Cosby was destroyed by the Democratic Party because he said the wrong things about the black community.
Glenn Beck is apparently back in one of his “we’re all gonna die” moods (which will soon be replaced by an upbeat “we’re the ones who will save the world” mood). He’s delivering yet another apocalyptic “prophecy” about how all of civilization will soon collapse.
Glenn Beck’s invocation of Adolf Hitler and the specter of fascism so frequently in response to liberal policies that Lewis Black once said he had “Nazi Tourette’s.” And Chuck Todd allowed him to completely rewrite all of his predictions of impending Nazism as referring to the rise of the right wing in Europe and the United States.
Poor Glenn Beck is still reeling from his hero, the man he campaigned so hard for and had such faith in, endorsing Donald Trump. He’s searching for some explanation and he thinks he has found it: Ted Cruz lost his faith in God’s ability to make things all better.
As soon as Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump, I could not wait for the reactions of two people, Steve Deace and Glenn Beck, perhaps Cruz’s two biggest and loudest supporters. Beck campaigned relentlessly for Cruz and absolutely lost his shit over it during and after a call with Cruz on his show.
A few months ago, Glenn Beck fired the former CEO of his company and now that executive has filed a countersuit. The accusations he makes against Beck certainly fit his public behavior, which is incredibly erratic. I mean, the man thinks he talks to God and is always doing his will, for crying out loud.
One of the most amusing things to me about Glenn Beck is how often he kisses the ass of his audience, telling them that they’re the ones who are going to save the country, save the world, that they’re the “remnant” that will restore freedom to the world. And here we go again:
