Jim Garrow is highly upset that Glenn Beck is not sufficiently supporting Cliven Bundy so he took to Facebook to declare that he isn’t going to go on Beck’s show (which he’s never been on or been invited on, so far as I know). Oh, and he won’t go on Oprah’s show either.
Matt Blevin, the Tea Party candidate challenging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, is attracting support from Glenn Beck. In fact, Beck says that Blevin is just like the founders and that if he isn’t elected, McConnell will make sure that The Blaze and other conservative sites are shut down. Wha? Yeah, I know.
I wrote the other day about Glenn Beck saying that he did not support violence in the situation at Bundy Ranch in Nevada and that anyone who did support violence could not be a supporter of his. But on today’s far right, even saying that much is anathema and he is getting seriously attacked for it.
Over the weekend, Glenn Beck wrote an open letter about the standoff in Nevada. On the plus side, he is firmly against the far-right gun nuts flocking there to take on the evil gummint. On the minus side…wow, is it a weird, incoherent diatribe. Seriously, see if you can make any sense at all out of this.
Glenn Beck took to his trusty blackboard to demonstrate his goals for his network, which is 100 million unique visitors to his website a month so he can “expand the footprint for the truth.” And God’s in control of the whole thing, you see, because they’re gonna save the world. It’s a frothy mix of false humility and delusion.
While Matt Barber and other anti-gay bigots declare that the boycott that led to Brendan Eich’s ouster as CEO of Mozilla call gay rights activists Nazis, Glenn Beck decided to go straight to calling them terrorists. Because that’s a totally reasonable reaction.
The Obamacare signup numbers topped 7 million at the end of the initial period and that fact sent Glenn Beck into a major league hissy fit. He declared Obama to be a “sociopath” and the media “rat bastards” for not exposing what he’s just sure are fake numbers. It was quite a righteous rant. And then he’s just so tired of it he isn’t going to deal with all those people anymore.
Glenn Beck has another new conspiracy theory. He says that Obama is trying to establish a socialist country, which he says always results in killing millions of people, and in order to do that he’s trying to “kill Christian thought.” Once he does that, he can go on to kill millions of people. Because that’s a totally reasonable thing to say.
Remember last year after the Boston Marathon bombings when Glenn Beck was droning on endlessly about how a Saudi man who was injured in the blast was in on it all? He named him by name many times and famously gave the federal government three days to come clean or he would blow the lid off the alleged coverup. That man is now suing Beck.
Glenn Beck is upset about the new Noah movie, saying that it was made for the purpose of undermining the “true” Noah story in “that old dusty Bible.” It is “dangerous disinformation,” he says. Unlike the Bible, of course, which teaches this incredible story of global genocide.
Remember a few weeks back when Glenn Beck was actually on the right side in standing against Russia’s authoritarian anti-gay law and said that he didn’t know anyone who would support it or who was anti-gay? He actually said that while wearing a hat honoring Ken Hutcherson, the virulently anti-gay preacher and Becks buddy. Right Wing Watch catches his hypocrisy on this yet again:
