Mind of a Nine years Old

I got this email from my sister Anu – our Mother is suffering from Alzheimers and she is currently with my sister. This is a great and a very touching story!

My son Eshaan is 9 years old and an extremely sensitive child. I had not realized how much little children receive from and react to their environment till I read this passage he wrote in his final exam. I have reproduced the passage verbatim as he has written along with his own spellings (his spellings are not a reason to be proud of, although the expressions are)..

Before I write the article.. I would like to give a preface as to how the little mind conjured these expressions: My mother who is living with us is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and the entire household is affected especially the tender minds. Apart from this, lately, some young boys have been following my son for some time to entice him to take a drag at their cigarettes and we had tried to counsel him on drug addiction..

Here is what he wrote on the topic: The Best way to serve God is to serve Humanity.

We should always look after old people. We must open old age houses. God does not become happy by giving him food or flowers. We should always look after poor and sick. To handle an AIDS or Alzaimers(read Alzheimer’s) patient is very difficult. There is no way in which AIDS can go. Then man can die after two years. Alzaimers can be controlled by men. We must treat the patients gently. We cannot do anything to stop AIDS or Alzaimers but we can slow it down by treatments. We should always find drug adects(read addicts) and tell the police about them. They cannot be treated by police but should be treated by doctors. Their blood must be changed in time. Patients of AIDS cannot be treated at all. The best way to serve god is to serve humanity. Children who are attracted by drugs can never stop having drugs. A famous doctor was also killed by drugs. We should ban drugs in our country.
