A Night Away

Wow, a night away.  Dave & I are packing up for our 1st night away from both kids.  My gracious mother & father’n’law are keeping both kiddo’s until tomorrow afternoon.

We are heading off to celebrate a birthday party of one of my best buds.

You know what’s crazy?

I’m not just excited about getting to go out, or having adult time, or being alone with my hubby as much as I am about one thing:  wearing a cute outfit that doesn’t have to also be breast-feeding accessible!

Yep, that’s what I’m primarily excited about.  Is that sad?

And is it wrong that I’m more sad about the multiple breast pumping sessions than I am about being away from them for a night?  With the week I’ve had, I need a break.  I’m just sayin’.

When you have a newborn, it’s the little things in life that excite you.
