- i made them dress in black/white so I could stand out! 🙂
I invited a small group of 16 of my closest girlfriends over for a dinner, dancing, Wii playing, girl movies & a desserts galore extravaganza! I even evicted my husband & son for the night so we could be free to be loud & obnoxious until 4am if we wanted to.
Well, of course being the talkative mugs that we are we did nothing other than talk for several hours straight. From 7pm – 5am (slept for 5 hours) & then resumed talking/laughing until 3pm. Two of us ended up talking until 7pm. My throat was actually sore! It was a great time.
Here’s the funny part. Jamileh, really wanted for us to go out dancing. We planned to go to this salsa dancing joint. On the way to dinner, Jamileh twisted her ankle –no dancing for her! (NOT the funny part). So, Jess, Joy & I headed out to the salsa club, but no one was there. Determined to dance, we headed out to a different club…again not one single person on the dance floor. And then it hit us. “Wait a minute, it’s a Saturday night & it’s still only 10:30pm! Parties don’t start until like 1am!” We realized were all in our 30’s & we are like soooooo lame –expecting to get our dance on in the earliest hours of the evening. So, we went back home & got comfy.
Here’s to girl nights! Every girl needs one, at least once a year.
