#10, #9 & #8. Fun & flirty: Clair Danes’ Oscar De LaRenta, Amber Riley & Kelly Osbourne’s Armani Prive.
I’m green with envy over all these dresses except Angelina’s. It suits her, but I’d look like a bore. Well, actually ANYONE else in the world would look like a bore in that Versace dress. Ms. Jolie can work just about anything.
From the left: Mila Kunis in Vera Wang, Catherine Zeta Jones in Monique Lhullier, Angelina Jolie in Versace & Elizabeth Moss in Donna Karan
Up close on my fave of the green bunch:
#7. Catherine Zeta Jones rocked it at the 2011 Golden Globes: The understated hair, the soft makeup, the earrings, no necklace, minimalist bracelets, deep green detailed dress. It’s all sort of perfect. Stunning.
Kudos, Catey!
Nothin’ like a good old, LBD! (Little Black Dress)
#6. I love, adore and would give a digit to wear Evan Rachel Wood’s beautiful, shimmering Elie Saab, Emmy’s gown, on the left.
I love the clean sillouette, the subtle shoulders, the hug of the dress, the length, the glittery feel, all of it. I simply love this dress. I want to wear it, yesterday.
Maria Menounos’ Emanuel Ungaro (on the right) is cute, but I think a bit too understated for the Emmy’s. Even still, I would rock the junk out of that dress at some fancy schmancy occasion if given the chance.
Okay, so y’all know I LOVE ME SOME RED. Would I waltz down a bright red carpet in a bright red dress?
Heckz yeah!
Yay for Lea Michelle’s Marchesa!
Yay for Sofia Vergara’s, coral Vera Wang!
But, I truly LOVE Kerry Washington’s. It’s so different & so risky!
Up Close:
#5. Kerry Washington in Zuhair Murad Couture.
#4. Jenny McCarthy’s playful little purple number is pulled off SMASHINGLY at this years American Music Awards. The booties, the belt, the hair –AWESOME.
#3. Preggo, Natalie Portman stole the show at this years Academy Awards. I don’t love the shoes but you know what? Who cares?!?!
I love the side swept hair, the deep purple, the maternal glow. Beautiful. AND she took home the top prize! Kudos, Miss Thang.
#2. Wilmer, Wilmer, Wilmer. I love your skinny tie, your gold bracelet, your beautiful face.
His face is “the smolder.”
And the number 1 look is…
(drumroll please)
#1. Halle Berry –one of my fave red-carpet queens of all time, has a hard time getting it wrong on the red carpet.
I’m loving this sparkly, tulled, glittery, girly, feminine, delicate-but-sexy Marchesa gown.
Drool. Drool. Drool.
Halle ALWAYS gets it right with hair, makeup & jewelry. Her face IS her best feature & she always let’s it center stage.
Work it, my bi-racial sis! =)
