If you were to give me $1,000.00 to spend at any one establishment I could spend it EASILY at… My answers… I have to admit.  I love Panera… the bread, the warm muffins, the toasted baglels, the awesome variety of sandwiches, the gooey mac-n-cheese, the frozen frappe’s, the carmel lattes… …maybe about $500 pretty easily in about 10 months. But, if I had a $1,000 gift card I could drop it EASILY in one.single.day at none other than “Narnes &... Read more

Does anyone know who this guy is? Nope, I didn’t either.  His name is Sam Rockwell & he made the movie for me. I found myself laughing and laughing (and snorting) and laughing at this dude. Endless funny line or gestures or screaming or ridiculous outfits or well-done M.C. Hammer dance moves…  He was a hit from beginning to end. Now, putting aside my ongoing love affair with Robert Downey Jr. films, this was a great movie.  I’ve decided there... Read more

Today when Dave & the boys took me out for a mothers day lunch at my fave breakfast restaurant I.H.O.P. Dave asked Ran to tell me what he loved most about me being his Mama. My dear 4.5 yr. old Ransom, said: “I love you Mama b/c you give me hugs.” “I love you Mama because I love spending time with you, especially when we build battle stations together.  You build the best battle stations, Mama, but sometimes mine are... Read more

Cedarville, MI.  Yep, it’s the little town that holds a glorious property InterVarsity owns called Cedar Campus.  It’s where I gave my life to Christ on April 27, 1996.  It’s where I’ve been every year since then at around this time -both as a student & now in my 9th year as an IV staffer. I’m looking forward to putting Rhys little toes in the ice cold water, walking the beautiful trails with my boys and interacting with God there... Read more

I’m pretty excited that my bliggity-blog was accepted into BookSneeze.  From now on, in exchange for my 2 cents in an honest book review they’ll be send me the free books of my choosing.  Booyah! 🙂  It’s a definite win-win! My first book is one I’ve been wanting to read for awhile: Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller.  Apparently, he revised the book and reworked the cover even though it was all ready a best-seller.  Mmmm?  Can’t wait... Read more

Every year the Biskie backyard bounds into bloom with beautiful flowers that we barely did anything to bring about… It’s not that the Biskies can’t be bothered with the big, sometimes burdensome burgeoning beauty… …but that we have been busy beavers building a beautiful ministry… Thankfully, our previous home-owners planted a bounty, so that we -and now you- can bask in the benefits and blessings… …of a bewitchingly… …beautiful… …beaming… …backyard! But… …the BEST beaut in my backyard… …was just... Read more

Dave & I took our two little babuschka’s to see Disney’s Oceans movie.  Last year on Earth Day we did the same thing by going to see Disney’s Earth Movie. It was, of course, profoundly beautiful.  Touching.  Moving. Brilliant.  The creativity of God’s under water creation is amazing.  There are parts of this film (like Disney’s Earth film) that are so stunning you can do nothing but sit with your jaw dropped. It was also was sad, sad, sad.  Not... Read more

Feels like a linky-link day… Tell me, do you LOVE Glee?  If your a gleek like me you’ll appreciate this well written blog post from my Californian pal, Lisa about the power of glee. Last week I totally got sucked into an online Lifetime movie: Who is Clark Rockafeller? about some dude who pretended to be a wealthy Rockafeller & ended up kidnapping his own daughter.  It was a totally fascinating true story brilliantly played by Eric Morcamak (of Will... Read more
