SANDRA MIESEL WAS RIGHT: Declare, by Tim Powers, was totally awesome. Best thing I’ve read so far this summer. I hardly know how to describe it; let’s go with “Catholic Cold War novel about the occult.” But that doesn’t get you all the way there–not even close. Really satisfying read.
