THE CENSORED CARTOONS PAGE: What has been cut from Warner Bros. and MGM cartoons? (I should be clear that I have exactly no problem with cutting racist, really really violent, or just outdated/obscure stuff from cartoons being shown on TV. But some of the “violence” cuts sound silly–I mean, this is the world where anvils get dropped on people’s heads, you know–and I do hope the original versions survive.)

The Censored Cartoons guide tells you who cut what–were the cuts made for all syndicated releases? just by the ABC network? etc. So it’s not hard to find uncut versions of many of these cartoons.

Final note: If you haven’t seen “Hare Meets Herr,” or the one where a Mata Hari pigeon seduces Daffy, you haven’t lived. Sexiest daggone pigeon I’ve ever seen.
