Faith Goes Pop
Actor Daniel Radcliffe, best known for being Harry Potter (although I saw him on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and he was so good in it, you guys), has broken from his support of Britain’s Liberal Democrats party. He announced the change in an interview with Attitude magazine, but that’s not the only interesting comment he makes.
“I’m not religious, I’m an atheist, and a militant atheist when religion starts impacting on legislation,” he told the magazine, referencing the way that many American schools are dominated by discussions about religion and whether it belongs. “We need sex education in schools.” He also spoke about his dislike for politicians like Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, both of whom support abstinence-only education policies.
