In Recipe for Joy, Robin Davis — an author who writes about food — vowed that she would never move do three things. One had to do with moving to a certain state, the other had to do with getting married, and the other had to do with becoming a person of faith.
Well . . . God had other plans.
All three things ended up happening in her life.
In Recipe for Joy, Robin crafts together her personal narrative of all of these events and uses the framework and language of food to explain it all.
This is a well written and enjoyable book about presuming on God’s plan and then discovering it in ways that one would never expect.
Seeing that Robin is a food writer, she titles and frames each chapter after each course in a meal, from the appetizer to the desert.
Pretty creative.
Whether you are a foodie or not, this is a cool book and has a good bit of humor and inspiration in it.
