Today we are featuring one of the podcasters who is part of The Deeper Journey Podcast Cross-Promotion Group, which is a group of Christian podcasters who are seeking to make an impact in the world.
Question 1: Introduce yourself by your name and something that your friends find interesting about you.
My name is Oliver Gann, aka Ollie G. My peeps would say that I have a powerful testimony on how I came to know the Lord as I was brought up in an emotionally abusive home as a kid, became an addictive personality to elements like alcoholism and gambling in college. Shortly thereafter, I got delivered by a great process through which the Lord used a great friend’s mother to lead me to Christ when I was 20 years old.
Also, friends of mine observe and find it amusing how I either am on ‘high octane’ energy or get in ‘chill mode’. I don’t have much of a middle ground.
Question 2: What is the name of your podcast and who is it for, specifically?
The name of the podcast is Keepin’ It Real. It is for anyone and everyone but primarily for people who are looking for honest, that is, real answers for real issues of life. These real answers get emphasized as the truth and reality of Christ gets proclaimed.
Question 3: When did you launch the podcast and how many episodes are on it to date?
The podcast launched in May of last year (2022) and there are 44 episodes to date as I type this (Dec. 2023).
Question 4: What is your main focus and passion as a Christian podcaster in today’s complicated world?
I would say that my main focus is proclaiming the truth of Jesus Christ, that is, who He really is and what He is really like to give hope for people who are struggling with issues and elements within their own lives and with issues at large.
Question 5: Where can people find your podcast, and what else would you like to tell us about it?
People can find the Keepin’ It Real podcast on Apple or Spotify. However, the best place they can find the KIR podcast is at www.kirradio.com. Not only can folks find every episode of the podcast there but they can find everything that’s a part of the Keepin’ It Real Network there as well which includes a weekly blog and other information that’s relevant to the overall ministry.
In addition, the podcast features in large part a rhythm that alternates monologue shows (where I give a message) and dialogue shows (where conversation partners are featured). The subject matters and principles covered from episode to episode tend to be interconnected like links on a chain. This makes the content easy and relatable whenever and wherever people may be listening.
