Preparing for the Hobbit in Middle Tennessee

On Saturday, my children went to our local movie theater (the independent Shadybrook Theater) which played the extended versions of all three Lord of the Rings movies playing in a row in preparation of The Hobbit.

My children met early at  our neighbor’s house.  There, they got into costumes, had their hair done, and spoke in Elvish.  When the arrived at the movies, they were surprised that — other than their friends — almost no one else showed up!  This is rural Tennessee, after all and the demand for a Lord of the Rings marathon is not that high.

Austin and Camille are photographed above on the left.  Does anyone else think my son was born to be a hobbit?  (His feet, however, are not hairy.)  Watch the Hobbit trailer here:
