My husband David has a fascinating side-by-side video observation between how Matt Lauer treated the white women who thinks she’s black, compared to Katie Couric interviewing the black man who presents as a woman:

From age five she colored herself with a brown crayon, and she declared unequivocally, “I identify as black.”

Now, watch Matt Lauer grill her this morning on Today, using pictures showing her at different stages of her life, and her contrasting positions about her own ethnicity (she actually sued Howard University alleging that the school discriminated against her because she was white). Her responses, of course, are absurd if you desire to live in a world where the truth matters. But if you want to truly explore how the Left applauds one kind of troubled falsehood and attacks another, contrast Lauer’s interview of Dolezal with Katie Couric’s fawning interview of Laverne Cox.
