I don’t know if you all heard, but I’m going to get to meet Rebecca of The Road Home this weekend! She’s here in town for a NCYC, and we’re going to have brunch and chit-chat time this Sunday. I’m so excited. Rebecca is one of the bloggers who has been following me since the very beginning and I consider her a real friend.

Also, we’re getting our turkey this weekend! We’ll pick him up from the winter farmer’s market on Saturday. This will be our third Thanksgiving with a pasture-raised turkey from Schacht Farm in Bloomington, IN. Their meat and eggs are out of this world, and I love getting to chat with the farmer when we pick up our turkey or eggs/meat on other weekends.

So I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m pretty darn excited for the Muppet movie. Atticus’ mom has already agreed to babysit for a few hours on Black Friday afternoon so we can sneak away and catch the movie.

We’re trying our best to do simple Christmas this year, but I’ve still made a Christmas list.

Which includes this:

ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment

Oh.my.gosh.

I used the free sample from Sephora in the shower tonight. My skin feels like a baby’s butt. In a good way. It looks glowing and feels soft as anything. It’s an exfoliating scrub.

Too bad its $85 dollars for 2 oz. Maybe if I’m good Santa will bring me the travel sized one that only costs $20.

I’m making a lot of Christmas gifts this year, and what I’ve realized is that it takes a long time.

I’ve been working on crochet for a few months and I still have about four projects to complete. I also have to finish Maggie’s 1 year scrapbook before her birthday.

It does make spending a few hours at the mall and getting everything done seem tempting.

On Monday I wrote about ideas for feeding the hungry in our communities over at Virtuous Planet. It’s the first in my six-part series on doing the works of mercy.

If you haven’t seen it yet, please go check it out and leave me some feedback. My posts over there don’t seem to generate much discussion which leaves me hoping it’s not because they stink.

Maybe it’s because I haven’t written about (1) NFP, (2) Pants, or (3) yoga. Maybe I could write a post about practicing NFP while I’m wearing yoga pants? What do you think?

I promise, promise, promise I’m going to write a blog post that isn’t quick takes or just pictures of Maggie before Thanksgiving. You can throw tomatoes at me if I don’t.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
