Holy Buckets. I haven’t done of these in forever.
There always seems to be something to do and I can’t get to this poor, neglected blog.
Also, Ihave a lot of ideas and half-written posts, but I can’t seem to make them stick, if you know what I mean.

I wish I could tell you all that this is going to change anytime soon, but alas, it probably won’t. We are leaving tomorrow for a road trip to Pennsylvania to visit my family.
I’m a little nervous because we haven’t done a driving trip with Maggie that is this long before. 12 hours each way. There’s no way we can drive striaght through with a toddler, so we’re going to break up the trip there and back into two days a piece.

So, we’re going to Scranton. Did you know that’s where I’m from.
One of my favorite things about Scranton is this kosher deli called Abe’s where they have the most amazing breakfast food.
It’s also kinda fascinating to me that I have to put non-dairy creamer in my coffee if I order turkey bacon.

We will be visiting with my grandparents for the week, and I know they’re just very excited to meet Maggie.
And Maggie is very excited to watch The Lion King in the car.

In other news, I got an iPhone. I did. Well, when we were at the dunes there was an incident where a certain spouse of mine forgot his phone in the pocket of his swim trunks when going into the lake. Ooops.
So, because he has no desire to get a smart phone, whereas I desperately wanted one, he graciously took my phone and let me get an iPhone.
That thing is excellent.
I also appreciated this clever Venn diagram.
Seriously, the phone is sort of mind-blowing in its abilities. I can track my ww points, check my email, update facebook, twitter, pinterest, as well as watch tv (through our Netflix), read a book, do an examination of conscience and …. call people.

So, I am hoping I’ll be able to at least update the blog once while we’re travelling, as we have wi-fi in our hotel, but I can’t promise anything more or anything profound.
I am working on some posts about being open to life, and some other things too. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to finish something while we’re on the road.

Finally, can I just say how much I love the library? We got five books on cd (since I can’t read in the car) and I’m just glad we could get them without having to buy them.
We got the first three books of the Narnia series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and an Agatha Christie novel. Bam.
I hope you will all have a great weekend and week coming up! Say a prayer for us, if you please, for safe travels and a good sleeper.
Check out Jen for more quick takes!
