7 Quick Takes Friday: Double Trouble!

So, ok. I just have one take this week, followed by 6 takes of me freaking out about the first take.

7.

I had my 7 weeks ultrasound yesterday morning.

I was laying there on the table, and couldn’t see the screen, and the tech was quiet for a few minutes, so I started freaking out internally.

Then she looks at us, very matter-of-factly, and says,

“So. You’re having twins.”

TWINS!

As in, two babies.

You know, one more than one.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Two babies. Two little heartbeats.

Two sacs, and most likely, two placentas.

Apparently that makes this the lowest-risk twin pregnancy, which is wonderful, since I’m high risk to start with.

Two babies, due on Maggie’s 3rd birthday.

God’s sense of humor.

So, Atticus is sitting next to me, holding my hand. Could have knocked him over with a feather.

Of course we knew there was a slightly higher chance of twins with clomid (7% is the number we were given, as opposed to less than 5% chance with non-clomid pregnancies), but still. 7%. That means you have a 93% chance of not having twins. I just assumed there would only be one, especially since I was on a low dose!

That was basically my reaction. Except, you know, I was laying on a table with an ultrasound wand in my hoo-ha.

Elf is somehow appropriate since all three of our children will be born in December. Probably only a few weeks apart. Most expensive month ever. We couldn’t be happier!

My hair is not that long. But pretty much.

I have a feeling its a boy and a girl. Only because with my first pregnancy I had a feeling right away he was a boy. With Maggie I had a feeling right away she was a girl. And this time I had a feeling….there were both.  O_o

So if I turn int the world’s worst blogger for a while, now you know why.

I’m growing two humans. Amazing.
