Day 8: Red Lips and Grays

Day 8: Red Lips and Grays

I found my first gray hair when I was 18. I was a senior in high school when I spotted it.

It’s all been downhill since then.

I’ve been coloring my hair off and on ever since I started college, but I have noticed over the last few years that I have to color it much more frequently. First it was every 12 weeks, then every 8, and now the gray roots are showing 5 weeks after getting it colored.

Now that I’m the ripe old age of 28, the whole front half of my hair is about 60% gray. Yikes.

So not grateful for the grays, but very grateful for a lovely salon where I can go and get my little problem taken care of.

That’s where I am headed today.

In keeping with this appearance related post, I am becoming a red lipstick woman.

I’ve been flirting with red for a few years.

Cruella was my first one.

It’s lovely, but I never felt like I could pull it off. I didn’t believe I could pull it off.

Last week, I bought Maybelline’s Red Revival, and I love it.

I am becoming a red lipstick woman, and I’m grateful for the extra pep it puts in my step.

I’m going to have to revisit Cruella.

Today I’m grateful for good hair color and red lips:
