Any Good Reads?

Friends,

I’m looking for a good read. Now, I know what you must be saying, “You work at the library? Aren’t there good reads there?” I work at a branch library, which is great. But what I mean by “good read” is that I’m looking for a good, non-theology-textbook-type book on spiritual growth. Spiritual growth sounds really silly, but you know what I mean. I want to read something that’s going to challenge me with me relationship with God, but isn’t written like a college text-book.

I have a few here I’m considering, but I’d love to know what you’ve been reading lately that I might like.

The ones I’ve been thinking of are:

(1) Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: Finding Intimacy with God in the Business of Life  by Joanna Weaver

(2) My Life with the Saints by James Martin, S.J.

(3) Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

What have you been reading lately? What would you recommend?
