I’m over at Middle Places today, talking about Rescue Bots and Jesus
My little girl had a temp of 101.5 by the time I realized she was even sick. Obviously she couldn’t go to school. I had no one to keep her, which meant I couldn’t work either. Looking at her, I felt guilty for even considering leaving my precious sick baby with someone else.
She was pitiful. She would play for just a few minutes, then crawl back up in my lap and cry herself to sleep. But I was feeling flustered. I was out of medicine for Cara, which meant I would have to drag both kids to the store. I couldn’t find a sub, and I hadn’t showered in two days. It was not my best moment.
