Numbers 36: Rules Serve a Purpose

Numbers 36: Rules Serve a Purpose 2012-07-31T09:42:57-04:00

“These are the commands and regulations the Lord gave through Moses to the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.” -Numbers 36:13

Rules serve a purpose. God gave Israel guidelines to protect and provide for his people for forty years in the wilderness. Moses did not choose them of his own will; he shared what God commanded.

Today’s communicators of Scripture seek to accomplish the same. We may not like some of God’s commands, but our lives are strengthened when we obey them. Let us not rebel or even doubt; let us walk in trust of God, his love, and his wisdom for our lives still today.
