Exodus 30: Most Holy

Exodus 30: Most Holy 2012-04-20T09:03:59-04:00

“It is most holy to the LORD.” -Exodus 30:10

Three times in Exodus 30, God mentions a practice or item as most holy to the Lord. What is the importance of making something “most holy”?

In each case, making something “most holy” is to emphasize its great importance to God. The incense of the tabernacle, the annual atonement, and the priests were all to be most holy to the Lord.

Simply put, things that are most holy are those things of deep significance to God. They have to do with worship of him. Looking at our lives, what is most holy to the Lord? What aspects of our lives help us to focus our worship upon him? These practices are to be guarded carefully.

According to God, our greatest actions are not those that cause us to shine, but what causes him to shine. His glory is our ultimate goal. How will you make Jesus famous in your life today?
