Leviticus 1: The Lord Speaks

Leviticus 1: The Lord Speaks 2012-05-07T08:54:41-04:00

“The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting.” -Leviticus 1:1

Leviticus is known as a book of laws. It is, but it is much more. It is the revelation of God through Moses to the nations of Israel. Why did God choose Moses rather than someone else?

Moses was chosen because of God’s will, not the will of Moses. Moses didn’t want to serve. God had other plans.

Sound familiar?

We often accept where we are today as “good enough.” God may have much more in store for us. Will you say yes? Will you remain faithful after saying yes?

This is the challenge of Leviticus–not laws, but the Lord. Will you follow his way above your own? If your answer is yes, then get ready. Still today, God is ready to speak–to you.
