“In Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” -Galatians 3:26
In one sense, the saying is true that all people are part of one family and are brothers and sisters of one another. However, when the apostle Paul addressed this issue, he specifically spoke of the spiritual family of those who follow Jesus. How are we family? Through faith.
When we place our faith in Jesus, we become brothers and sisters with millions of men, women, and children around the world who experience a love unmatched by any other. The result is to be love toward God and one another, overflowing into myriad forms of service to the needs around us.
Let us remember today that we do not walk the journey alone. We have a family, large and diverse, with homes in every nation, sharing in prayer and in our struggles. Let us join together to live the love of Christ, to love our spiritual family, and serve those we can until we dwell together forever in heaven.
