Revelation 20: The Devil’s End

Revelation 20: The Devil’s End

“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” -Revelation 20:10

Satan’s days are numbered. There will come a day when he, along with the beast and false prophet, will be sentenced to eternal suffering.

The good part? Evil is not eternal for the believer. We endure suffering, but only temporarily.

The bad part? The end of the chapter. Verse 15 reads, “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” The way it is written indicates that those who end life apart from Christ will experience the same final and eternal judgment that Satan does.

The best part? It hasn’t happened yet. There remains time to turn to Christ and share his message with others. May we make the most of every opportunity to do so until Christ makes all things new.
