Writing a blog is a great opportunity to learn more about yourself.
Here are some questions, I can now answer:
- How often would I check a website to see if people really like me?
- Would I prefer that my kids’ behavior be angelic or blog-worthy?
- Do I think blog entries are actually better when I download clip art from Google images?
But the question that I can now answer best is, “What kind of person do I attract?”
How can I find out the answer to that question? By looking at the search terms that lead people to my sight. I can go to the site administration section of my blog to see which terms people have entered into their search engines to arrive at my site.
Here are a list of my favorites:
- homeschooled kids are incompetent
- homeschooled kids are weird
- weird homeschoolers (2)
- sarcastic reflections on life
- homeschool produces incompetent youth
- my son pees on his bedroom floor
- parenting boys and swordplay
- reasons not to homeschool
- miserable homeschooling
- homeschool crying
- kids think he´s weird
- amy chua is a self-absorbed narcissist
- is homeschooling making kids weird
I don’t know if you could come up with a simple category of people who tend to come to the site, but I think you could be fairly confident in ruling out cheerful, lighthearted, and affirming.
Is that a good thing?
