How Can I Know Truth? If God Lives? [Video]

How Can I Know Truth? If God Lives? [Video] April 16, 2013

Are you wondering if you can know truth? If God and Jesus really live? If there’s purpose and meaning to life? Are you perhaps straddling the fence? Agnostic? Confused? At the end of yourself?

The great news is:
God lives.
Truth exists.
We are not, as some lyrics suggest, just “drops in an ocean or dust in the wind.”

In an age where extreme postmodern thinking bandies about in academia and in the media that everything is a construct, and relative at best, have you felt to abandon your faith in things divine or absolute? I hope you’ll be revived in your knowledge that truth–”things as they were, as they are, and as they are to come”– is knowable, discernible, real. You’re born equipped spiritually to receive truth and recognize it, in spite of false assertions to the contrary, regarding its sheer relativity and non-absoluteness.

Mormon woman prayerThis episode of I Believe: Expressions of Faith Podcast addresses several steps you can take today to “come and see” if God lives, to inquire, to come to your own knowledge of His reality and purposes for you. God isn’t hiding; He would love to be found. He is pursuing you, even today, even now. Find the full I Believe Podcast transcript here.

The window to God is always open. If you haven’t seen Him yet, maybe your blinds are closed, or you were peering through the wrong angle. We’d like to help you find Him.

Hope you’ll view the cast and share your thoughts with me.

Bible Verse: “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (New Testament: Hebrews 11: 6).

Faith Quote: “The moment you have a self at all, there is a possibility of putting yourself first – wanting to be the centre – wanting to be God, in fact. That was the sin of Satan: and that was the sin he taught the human race. Some people think the fall of man had something to do with sex, but that is a mistake…what Satan put into the heads of our remote ancestors was the idea that they ‘could… be their own masters – invent some sort of happiness for themselves outside God, apart from God. And out of that hopeless attempt has come…the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy” (C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity).
