And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. – Ephesians 5.18-21, ESV

Be Filled with the Spirit
This sermon is in Ephesians 5.18-21. This is a touchy passage for one major reason. Paul the Apostle paints a contrast. That contrast is between the things that we give our control to.
Do I give my control to the things of God or the things of the world?
The two things that he selects are giving control over to the Holy Spirit, or giving control over to drinking. In this particular passage I find it interesting how he treats this, and I just wonder if he would be heard today in our churches.
