Tea Time | batch cooking a recipe from Ann Hutyra February 22, 2022

I’m trying out a new recipe from Ann Hutyra, and I got to thinking… I’m not great at double entendre – like a genius who is always fun to read in person or on a page – but I do enjoy a chat about a good tea, coffee, or cooking tip now and then. Doesn’t everyone love talking about food?

I’m not a master chef, but you may want to tune-in to a master with 2 masters 😉

After putting together and preparing the soup, I started thinking about it.

There are many parables where the master of the house calls people to a wedding feast, or calls them to a dinner, and the very people he thinks are going to show up… only say it.

They say they’re going to show up, but they don’t

The master may go to the highways and the byways to get others. Maybe the setting is a wedding feast on the inside, but ten virgins are on the outside, and not all of them are prepared to enter and participate, even though they think they are prepared. So they can’t come in.

There are many different references to feasting. Even in the last chapter of John talks about it. Jesus is on the shore, and calls out to His disciples, one last time, Come, and dine.

Jesus said unto them, Come, and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? seeing they knew that he was the Lord. John 21.12, GNV

They’ve been fishing all nite. They didn’t catch anything. They do get a catch, because once again Jesus performs a miracle, and they get one last catch.

However, Jesus says, Come, and dine. He’s already got their food ready for them.

I know the feeling, because I’ve been cooking quite a bit on my own this last year, on this health journey that I’m on. I get a huge meal like this prepared, and…

I’m the only one at the table.

So I know that wherever you’re at, just keep that in mind. Your Lord has wonderful delicacies in mind for you. All you’ve got to do is come to the table and enjoy dining with Him, supping with Him. Enjoy a time of fellowship with Him, and it’s not just for Sunday, or Wednesday nite, or small groups throughout the week. It’s everyday.

Try the recipe! It will be worth your time
