Her name is Amy Francis-Joyner

I love Prince. We experienced the loss of a true cultural icon this week. We also experienced another great loss.

Earlier this week, Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Delaware was the site of a fight. This was a planned confrontation. Before school began, a couple of girls met in the bathroom. Words were exchanged. Fists started to fly. Chaos erupted. One of the young ladies hit her head on the sink. The girls kept pummeling. The blood kept flowing. The fight ended with a body lying dead on the ground.

Her name is Amy Francis-Joyner. Our addiction to violence killed her. We put our kids in superhero underwear. We promote violent cartoons. We let our kids watch wrestling. We teach our kids that good always wins by force. We laugh at violent online videos. We don’t love God. We love violence. We are an evil people who deny the love of God with every piece of violence that we entertain. It should come as no surprise that no one cares about the death of a child at the hands of other children.

Her name is Amy Francis-Joyner.
