Goliath doesn’t stand a chance

One thing I hope to have every day on this blog is YouTube find: a song, a video, something fun.

So here’s the titular music video from Steve Taylor’s back-after-20-years-or-so album “Goliath.” This very punk inflected song sounds almost like a modern inversion of the taunts that the Philistine giant is said to have hurled at King Saul’s army in the Bible. From the opening line – “We’ve been advised / that you’re not very nice”  – we can hear that Taylor hasn’t lost his knack for wordplay.

And let me add this about the music video: If Friedrich Nietzsche were reincarnated today, one viewing of it would kill him dead.
