The Global Leadership Summit: It’s About Building Intentional People

Over and over again, in their own ways, speakers made it clear:

Leadership is about people, not position.

Good leaders add value to people (per John Maxwell), energize people (per Bill Hybels), understand people (Erin Meyers) and engage people (Chris McChesney).

Anyone can stand in place and point to where they want people to go, but that’s not inspirational, and it’s certainly not the way Jesus led. Jesus inspired people because he was active in touching their lives. He got his hands dirty in leadership, he valued people and added value to their lives and that got his followers engaged, energized, and ready for action.
