Pre-Announcement: Footsteps of Jesus and the Apostles

Kris and I would like to invite you to join us for a lifetime adventure in the footsteps of Jesus and the apostles. We are working on details, so some may shift slightly, but we plan on a 13-day tour of Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) to visit some sites associated with the apostle Paul and the apostle John, and then we will fly to Israel for a several days walk/hike of “Jesus Trail” from Nazareth to Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee (see picture), and then we will finish in Jerusalem for a lovely day visiting Old Jerusalem.

The proposed dates now are May 13-25, 2013. The expected costs, including all air fares and travel, breakfasts, dinners and some lunches and tips, hotels and entrance fees — to Istanbul and then to Tel Aviv and then back to the USA (we are looking into a Chicago departure and arrival) are about $5000 per person (fuel costs make exact prices difficult to predict). Our trip will feature daily teaching from the New Testament, and we will focus on texts connected to the sites for that day. (I am presently working on a book on the apostle Paul whose ideas will be featured during our time in Asia Minor/Turkey.)

In June we will be making the official announcement when we hope to have the trip details and more precise costs.
