Someone bumped our car but good the other day…

Kris drives a Subaru Forester, and within two months her car has been scraped or bumped four different times …

… and the scrapers and bumpers didn’t say squat to us. They just walked (or drove) away. One is a scrape that got below the paint line on the hood; two times we were bumped but good by someone opening doors and one gave us a little dent and the other scraped into the paint.  Okay, these little bumps and bruises happen, no big deal.

But last Friday someone hit us enough to do some serious paint damage to the lower panel behind the passenger rear wheel well.

Not a word.

Since we don’t want any more rust than we have to have, we decided to take the car into a “detail shop” to get these bumps and scrapes repaired and removed.  This is a new experience for us (the detail shop), but it was surprisingly inexpensive so we’ll give it a try.

The worker at the detail shop told me that our experience has become a trend.  Is this a trend? I don’t think it is really a new trend, but that is his opinion anyway.
